Hotel Hangs: NoMo Soho Hotel Review NYC

Location: 9 Crosby St, New York, NY

If you’re looking for where to stay in NYC, here’s my review of the Nomo Soho Hotel.

Recently my boyfriend and I decided to have a little #staycation #baecation, and the hotel of choice was NoMo Soho.

Check-in is at 4pm and Check out is at 12pm (which is lovely because most places are 11am unless you pay for a late check out.) If you drive into the city, NoMo offers discounted parking for hotel guests at a nearby garage (26 Wooster St.) for $35. Just remember to have the hotel receptionist validate your parking ticket when you check in! I recommend dropping off your suitcases at the hotel first, otherwise you’ll be lugging them for a few blocks. Nearby trains are the J, Z, N, Q, and 6 at Canal St.

NoMo Soho is trendy, eclectic, and definitely fits the vibe of the neighborhood. You walk in through a gorgeous vine covered archway, which you’ve probably seen all over instagram. Artwork adorns the walls & columns with tropical plants flourishing. Photographs of artistic icons like Basquiat, Haring, and Warhol decorate the walls with a pink neon “Reception” sign leading you to the 2nd floor check in. Aidan describes the hotel decor as “pop art mixed with street art.” We couldn’t help but feel reminiscent of Miami’s Wynwood Art District.

The receptionist was so kind and informative giving us the low-down on our stay. Arriving on the 15th floor, the elevator doors opened and all I could see was a sea of blue–blue carpets, blue walls and chrome mirrors. We were given a beautiful room with large windows and tons of natural light flooding in. The view of the Manhattan skyline at night was stunning. The bathroom was stocked with Malin & Goetz products, there was a little desk area if you need to work, and an extra arm chair to relax in.

Included in our stay:

  • $15 Dining Credit at NoMo Kitchen
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Google Chromecast streaming
  • Local and select international calls
  • 24/7 access to fitness center

Room service: The staff members were very friendly & extremely quick delivering our bubbly! It was a little hard to get in touch with someone at first, but they were having a private event that evening and seemed quite busy.

Security was top notch checking people in whenever you leave and re-enter the hotel. They made sure only the people who were supposed to be there, were there. I felt safe. We had an early dinner at Little Ways which was amazing btw, and ended our night by ordering our favorite Swedish candy to the hotel. If you haven’t tried BonBon yet, what are you waiting for!?

Overall, I would stay here again for the views, and location. I would love to go back and dine at NoMo Kitchen. The staff members were always friendly and never rude, which is so important to me. I’d recommend staying here if you want somewhere trendy, in the heart of soho!
