In a time where we hold our loves near & dear to our hearts now more than ever, Valentine’s day is another opportunity to celebrate them and your relationship. I’ve picked out some unique gifts if you’re stuck on what to get your boo.

D.I.Y. Valentine’s Day Gift Basket/Box

I really like this idea because you can get creative with it & personalize to your liking. Fill the box or basket with sweet treats, a card, little trinkets, & maybe some wine or whatever beverage they like & make it cute! I bought a cool wooden crate from Michael’s to hold my gifts in & thought it gives a nice rustic feel. (I’m pretty sure Fixer Upper has influenced me with all that farmhouse decor!)

For the Gamer:

If gaming is their thing, I’ve got a few ideas for you. You can never go wrong with a new video game for whichever console they have. Even better if you can play together. The Nintendo Switch surged in popularity during this pandemic, and there’s a few games I recommend:

Accessory-wise, a new controller would always be welcome! This wireless controller for the switch fits in the hand comfortably, battery life lasts for hours & is great for playing when the system is hooked up to the T.V.

For the music lover:

Apple Airpods Pro– I actually gave this one as his Christmas gift, and so far he loves them! There’s a noise cancelling feature that’s pretty insane, Facetime calls sound so clear, and Amazon is also having a $50 off sale their regular price. I’m honestly so surprised by their power and lowkey want a pair for myself now!

For the foodie:

Up your charcuterie (shark-coochie) board game with this engraved cutting board from Etsy. The seller has even more designs! If you love to cook together, this is a sweet personalized gift. Take it a step further and make it a charcuterie night or plan a picnic date with it.

For the adventurers:

Does your love prefer experiences together over physical gifts? While our travel is limited, a staycation may be perfect. Book a night or two at a hotel in your city. (Not to mention you’d be helping the hospitality industry!) Or, if you’re not feeling the city vibes, do a little getaway or day trip somewhere! Here’s a whole itinerary to Tarrytown, NY to give you some inspiration on things to do!

For the crafters:

Pottery class- Making things with your hands is sexy. Period. If you’re down to get a little messy & learn something new, pottery would be a cute date idea that you and your partner can do together.

Candle making! I have yet to try this, but I feel like it would be amazing to create your own signature scent.

Glass blowing– Create something beautiful with this ancient art form & learn about it’s unique history. A pair of wine glasses, vases, a jewelry dish, shot glasses & pendants are just some of the many things you can make by glass blowing.

No matter what you decide to give, as long as it’s thoughtful, the time spent with your partner will be the most important. Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day celebrating your friends, family, and loving yourself!
