Cute Cafes You Need to Try in West Palm Beach (2024)

Best Coffee Shops in West Palm Beach

If you know me, you know I love my coffee and am always on the hunt for cool new spots. If you’re visiting West Palm Beach I have a few places that you should try!

1. Subculture

This is a local fave & my friends and I have been going to subculture for years now. I’ve always made it a point to stop by whenever I’m in town. There are two different sides to subculture, on the left is where it’s a straight up cafe, but they also serve beer and wine at night. On the right you can order food & I’ve seen someone order a pretty good looking acai bowl. I normally sit in the outdoor area underneath the colorful umbrellas.

Location: 509 Clematis St, West Palm Beach, FL 33401

2. Hive Bakery & Café

Hive Bakery is a new and popular coffee shop in Palm Beach for 2023. I’ve been dying to go here for a while and it did not disappoint! It’s really cute inside, the pastries look delicious and they serve an all day breakfast and lunch.

I just grabbed a cold brew this time around, but definitely plan to come back to sit down and have lunch. You can get anything from buttermilk pancakes, sandwiches, salads and more!

Location: 1603 S Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach, FL 33401

3. Celis Juice Bar and Cafe

This cool coffee shop and juice bar serves delicious smoothies, acaí bowls, fresh pressed juice and breakfast food. I’ll be the first to admit my mom actually was the one to find this gem!

There’s two locations: one on Dixie and the other on Palm Beach Island. This café has a surf shop, laid-back vibe. It reminds me of coffee shops in Montauk.

Be sure to try the “Blue Majik” smoothie, it has coconut water, pineapple, banana, mango & E3Live. It was so good, I downed it so quickly!

Location: 2814 S Dixie Hwy D, West Palm Beach, FL 33405

4. Pura Vida

Pura Vida has SO many locations all over South Florida and I was so excited when they opened up in West Palm Beach by “The Square”. I first tried them out when I visited Miami and can tell you firsthand their smoothie bowls are so yummy!

The interior is so beautiful and they have a good amount of outdoor seating. The only thing I keep forgetting when I go there is that their cold brew comes in a bottle that you get from the refrigerator. I prefer my cold brew in a cup with ice so if you want that effect order an iced drip or an iced americano instead.

Location: 460 S ROSEMARY AVE

5. Johan’s Joe

This Swedish Coffee House features chandeliers and a very crisp, clean interior. They also have delicious pastries.

6. Harold’s Coffee Lounge

Harold’s is a new cafe I tried recently, recommended by one of my best friends. It definitely gives hipster vibes with the street art/grafitti-esque walls and random furniture. The coffee was pretty good but a little overpriced (think $20 for 2 cold brews with oat milk and a vegan brownie.) I loved their outdoor area because it was tucked away in the backyard.

Location: 509 Northwood Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33407

7. Composition Coffee House

Another new coffee shop in West Palm Beach is Composition Coffee House. The interior of the cafe is very rustic and industrial looking.

This coffee shop has a hipster aesthetic with lots of plants everywhere. This cafe reminds me of coffee shops in Brooklyn and would fit right in!

Another cool thing about Composition Coffee is that they sell bottles of natural wine (which I love!)

Location: 2606 FLORIDA AVE WPB, FL 33401

8. Loic Bakery

I’ll be honest with you, I haven’t made it over here yet but this is another cute spot recommended by my friend who’s a West Palm Beach local. You can take some cute insta pics with their palm leave covered wallpaper as a backdrop.

This looks like a nice place to grab brunch with your friends. The tartine sampler and almond croissants look amazing! Definitely will be trying when I visit.

Location: 480 Hibiscus St unit 116, West Palm Beach, FL 33401

9. Sant Ambroeus Palm Beach

Being from NY, I’ve always passed by Sant Ambroeus in Soho but somehow haven’t been in yet! Who knew it would take me going all the way to Florida to try it!

After a sunset picnic, my friends and I went to get coffee and gelato. If you’re looking for something more upscale, this is where you want to be! I recommend the “Cappuccino Freddo” which is espresso, cold milk, milk foam and ice (but sub in oat milk!)

Location: 340 Royal Poinciana Way, Palm Beach FL 33480
